I am all about relationships. You might say, “well, so what”? We are driven to achieve results, meet goals and help our organizations to stay profitable and we need the collective efforts of other people. There are many approaches to that end, and you might say “all roads lead to Rome.” I disagree. The fundamental source of any initiative that includes more than one person is deeper than just making things happen. We make things happen by establishing trust, identifying shared values and cementing relationships, be it with employees, customers, vendors and other stakeholders. The best way to influence change in my mind is by acting as a partner so that I don’t have to persuade anyone, because we’ve been on the same path all along.Throughout my career, my intellectual curiosity has fueled my drive to identify pain points and improve processes. I love facing a good challenge, and believe that bringing together diverse perspectives always leads to the best solutions.
