About Barbara Marsh

I am a musician, writer and teacher. Most recent project is this, in collaboration with Steve Betts: The Franklyns - debut album, Eternity Pool, released 28 Oct 2022 on Rotary Head RecordsI currently teach poetry and creative writing privately in online workshops, and I had a very happy time at City Lit, Bishopsgate and Morley College for over a decade, where I taught poetry, creative writing, short story writing, songwriting and women's literature. Author: To the Boneyard (Eyewear Publishing, 2013)Mr Ferndean Takes Stock (Eyewear, 2019)Other work can be found in magazines and anthologies.Winner of Troubadour International Poetry Prize 2015Finalist, Mslexia Poetry Prize 2022; Bridport Prize 2022 shortlist (each of 4 submissions), National Poetry Competition longlist 2021, 2018, 2017Formerly co-founder of The Dear Janes; singer/songwriter/musician. Released 3 albums: Skirt (Sore Thumb Records), No Skin (Geffen Records), Sometimes I (Castle).
