Prevention Specialist
Current• Facilitate and promote positive growth in at-risk populations and the community at large. • Use specific knowledge and skills to design, implement and evaluate programs aimed at precluding or reducing identified problems.• Extensive presentation and workshop experience educating various groups about mental illness , addiction, recovery, crisis intervention, conflict resolution. • Participate as a leader and/or facilitator for assigned groups.• Provide crisis intervention as needed.• Complete required reports to government and private funders.• Implement clinically appropriate treatment plans and interventions for members.• Facilitate meetings with staff, 9th grade team and SAP teams at both middle and high schools• Complete needs assessment and program evaluations.• Collaborate with other community based and health care organizations• Mental health and substance use assessment and counseling skills.• Ability to conduct risk and behavioral assessments.• Demonstrated competence in service coordination and networking with other human service and health care providers.• Experience in successfully managing multiple projects, personnel, and resources to achieve organizational goals.• Coordination of resources• Proficient with Microsoft Office• Coordinate multiple therapists and teachers schedules using Google Calendar
