Previous experience as a court assistant before becoming a court member in 2013.No longer a member of the court.

Responsible for all aspects of managing this highly complex Lloyd's insurance business, including development and delivery of business strategy, building strong supportive relationships with all shareholders and regulators and ensuring that the business operated within appropriate risk parameters. The group was listed on the London Stock Exchange until July 2012 when it was acquired by a US based trade buyer.Examples of significant achievements:- grew business volume from £25m to £300m+ refocusing the business model and introducing new business lines while maintaining underwriting integrity and outperformance- acquired and realized a significant investment in another Lloyd's business generating a huge gain which was returned to shareholders, demonstrating commitment to proper capital management- undertook a corporate inversion and a redomicile generating significant financial benefits for the group- successfully handled two bid defence processes and a subsequent sale process which set a new benchmark for pricing metrics of Lloyd's insurance businesses

Responsible for the management of this privately-owned insurance business including, as above, all aspects of strategy and implementation, in this instance focussing on rehabilitating and turning around the business which had previously lost credibility in the eyes of the regulators and was on the verge of losing its license to trade.

The Corporation of Lloyd's is the central body which provides, on the one hand, services and facilities for the Lloyd's market, and on the other, establishes the rules governing participation in the market so as to ensure the financial reputation of Lloyd's.From joining Lloyd's in 1985 with responsibility for all regulatory matters related to accounting and auditing, progressed over the ensuing years to be variously responsible for solvency, syndicate reporting, membership, Lloyd's global reports, financial forecasting, US reporting, and then finally all regulatory rule issues. Part of the Lloyd's team dealing with the Reconstruction and Renewal plan, the introduction of corporate capital and value for members. Extensive exposure to senior market practitioners, government, international regulators and other stakeholders. Reporting to the Director of Regulation.
