Barbara is a frequent presenter at local, state and national conferences focused on gifted education. Additionally, Barbara organizes and manages international, national, state and local conferences.

BVGT is the non-profit local affiliate of the Colorado Association for the Gifted and Talented which, in turn, is the state affiliate of the National Association for Gifted Children. BVGT assists and support gifted individuals in developing their talents, strengths, and abilities. We offer frequent educational programs for parents and teachers of gifted children. BVGT is very active advocating for educational support and programming for gifted students by increasing awareness of the nature and needs of gifted student. This has become increasingly important with school reform movements and budget cuts.
