In January 2018, Barbara Nash was named head of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Coverage team for CIB US. For the 5 years prior to this, Barbara was the Co-Head of Media & Telecommunications for our US Coverage Team. As part of her management responsibilities, Barbara is also a member of the US Coverage Team’s Executive Committee. Barbara joined BNP Paribas in 2010.Before joining BNP Paribas, Barbara was the Head of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications team for Fortis Capital’s Corporate and Investment Bank. Barbara founded this business in 2005 and recruited each team member. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Barbara was also the Head of Fortis’ Acquisitions and Leverage Finance Team.Before being recruited by Fortis Capital, Barbara was the Head of the Communications, Media & Entertainment Group at RBC Capital Markets where she spent 12 years. During her tenure, Barbara was one of RBC Capital Markets’ youngest Managing Directors.Barbara started her career at Bankers Trust Company as an analyst on the Investment Management team covering index arbitrage accounts.Over her career, Barbara has worked with numerous Technology, Media & Telecommunications companies raising capital in the bank loan, high yield, high grade and equity linked markets and has been involved in a number of M&A advisory assignments.Barbara holds a Masters of Business Administration from New York University, Stern School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Boston University.Barbara has two daughters who both work in the financial industry.
