As a project manager I am running the Africa project DOK.network Africa - Documentary for Exchange of the International Documentary Film Festival DOK.fest in Munich. The foundation of the project is a collaboration with the iREP International Documentary Film Festival in Lagos, Nigeria which takes place every year end of March. My work inlcudes: - Representation of and networking for DOK.fest Munich at African film festivals like the iREP in Lagos.- Organizing cultural exchange by curating films for each others festivals and inviting filmmakers and festival organizers to Munich.- Bringing new developments and trends from the African documentary filmmaking scene to Germany by organizing a panel discussion during DOK.fest 2014 about "Documentaries from and about Africa. A question of perspective?"- Presentation and moderation of Question+Answer sessions after screening of documentaries from and about Africa during DOK.fest Munich.
