Experienced, with a professional degree in Landscape Architecture and a PhD in History of Art from Princeton University, with postdoctoral appointments as a Fulbright Scholar and at Princeton's Institute for Advanced Study.I am a Research Professor at The University of Maryland, College Park where scholarship involves preserving cultural landscapes for people of color in the US and the Caribbean. Currently, I am honored to serve on 2 Maryland Governor Appointed Commissions: Commissioner, MD African American History and Culture; also Commissioner, MD Environmental Justice and Sustainable Communities. I also serve as Cultural Envoy to the island nation of Antigua and Barbuda.
