After graduating from Kaplan University I took some much needed time off to take care of some personal issues. I am happy to say these issues have been resolved and I have returned to school as of Sept. 3, 2013. I wanted to be more valuable to my employer and with great consideration I decided to take a Clinical Medical Assisting Program. I am enjoying this program and I have inspired my daughter to return to school and she is taking the classes with me.I am not employed at this time. I live in a small area and the job market is very competitive. I decided in order to compete I needed to acquire more skills and qualifications, which would increase my marketability as well as value to an employer. I hope to have a job very soon and then I will decide what the next area of the medical field I would like to go into.I graduate from my Medical Assisting Program and took the National Exam and I am a Certified Medical Assistant as well as a Certified Phlebotomy Tech, and EKG Tech. I preformed my clinical training at a Urgent Care and I was hired and worked there until Sept. 2014 when the corporate office decided to close our facility. I am currently unemployed and looking for a job as a Certified Medical Assistant.
