Career Interests: Using my years of experience in nursing and managed care to assist those who are not covered by the normal health care systems; to assess medical and personal conditions and to plan with the patients, treatment and life adjustments to improve health and over all well being; to implement interventions with existing medical and social institutions for the benefit of patients and communities. I am interested in using my experience and skills in service to people at risk for health issues, life planning and, renewal. Employment History12/17/2007 Senior Nurse Case Manager: Gates McDonald & Company10/2000 02/2007 Case Manager: Future Health Consulting. The company was sold to Nationwide/ Gates McDonald in 2007, continued in the employ of Naitonwide until Jan 22, 2010. Crawford and Company. Bagan as Case manager for, the Workers Compensation Consulting division and became the supervisor for a staff of 12 nurses.November of 1978 to November of 1990: Elected County Council for Harford County Maryland. During this time I also worked part time as Home health Nurse for Harford Home Health (1980-1988)and for the VNA of Baltimore Maryland,(1978- 1980) and I worked as a staff nurse at Franklin Square Hospital. (1988-1990) 1990 to 1992, wrote editorial political comments for a local paper. While an elected official, I had the opportunity to organize and motivate redevelopment of low income housing, wrote and successfully passed legislation for rules regarding personal care boarding homes in the county. I was also Chair of a region wide Economic Development Committee, Chair of the first hazardous chemical response planning committee for the county and region. Initiated county action to improve of safety in a nuclear power plant, directed parkland development to more urban areas, and worked on water quality issues.
