To Establish a Logistic Division for an asset based Trucking Company with 27 Successful years in the business Specializing in Container moves. Core Advantage completed their 1st year of business in October 2022 ending the year very successfully. My role is to find problem solving solutions to ensure your freight gets to its final destination whether it be Container cargo, domestic freight, LTL, Special Projects, OW/OD, Flatbed, dryvan, reefers, to hotshot services.

Implemented the processes for the brokerage of 5JTransportation Group. As a new subsidiary of the group (5J Brokerage LLC.) my role was to build the brokerage by creating protocols to run the business proficiently and effectively. Entailed in these duties were creating a Customer Set up process, a Carrier setup process, an Accounting process from load completion to the invoice, establish a reliable carrier base for existing customers for the company overflow as well as for new customers. Also, establish company credit with finance/factoring companies to rapidly increase the carrier base with reliable independent operators. My goal with 5J Transportation Group was to take a startup company with only their authority in hand and make it a successful revenue generating company with profitable margins.

• Solely manage the Brokerage firm meeting monthly expectations for revenue and profit margins. • Quote Customers – Super Heavy Haul, Hots shots, OTR, Direct Discharge, drayage, project cargo, etc.• Schedule pickups – Enter loads, post loads, negotiate rates, trac and trace, provide POD’s, ensure billing.• Outside Sales – Meet and Greet with existing customers to ensure successful business relationships.• Build a strong Carrier base for busy lanes to service all type commodities.• Follow up on quotes and, reach out to customers via telephone when business is slow.

Responsibilities are to work closely with our Billing, Inventory, Quality, and Material Processing departments to insure all claimable cost are processed in a timely manner being submitted to the originating steel mills. Submit sales orders with backup documentation to support all claims. Produce monthly reports for all costs that include valid claims, non-claimable items, lost pipe, and, repairs. Manage internal projects for the department to clean up claims being disputed, unpaid, or unprocessed that are past claimable deadlines. Coordinate meetings with Mill representatives and, our Quality Director. Assist our Inventory dept. giving instructions to the Material processors to repair, downgrade or scrap non-claimable casing/tubing/ & line pipe. Maintain a database with all active claims on a day to day basis.

Duties included Coordinating the discharge for Vessels arriving at the Port of Houston. Schedule outside direct discharge companies to pick up imported pipe at time of discharge.Communicate with dock pushers and stevedoring companies to insure all material was picked up and not incurring charges for docked material. Prepare claim documentation contacting the stevedores or broker agents for all dock receipts needed for joint count discrepancies and damages of material imported. Provide dispatch confirmations and coordinate the pickup of sales orders for rig sites or customers ordering stock. Coordinate with sales account managers and, material processors to transfer material between facilities, pick up newly purchased material needed to fill orders, search for and maintain a log of qualified logistic companies to move freight. Communicate with all servicing facilities to prevent wait time and overtime. Help the company to cut back on cost providing quotes for freight movement on a day to day basis for rig runs, bid material, and local moves.

Responsible for growing a non-asset based truck brokerage with monetary growth. Prioritize urgent shipments. Practice strategic thinking while multi-tasking to ensure customers the best service possible so there are no service failures. Provide daily quotes for hotshot, local, long haul, LTL, and partial freight. Set up new carriers, clerical duties, AP/AR, to create and distribute billing invoices to customers, dispatching, respond to high volume email correspondence, and scheduling equipment for projects..

Assisted the Operations Manager on a daily basis with duties that included quoting customers with rates for local and local long haul runs. Data Entry, ordered permits from D.O.T.for OD Loads. I brokered freight to outside carriers to haul freight for the Oil and Gas Industry. Answered mult-line phones. Supervised office for Operations Manager while out on business. Dispatched drivers to pick up locations while keeping an open line of communication with all drivers till they delivered to ensure customer satisfaction. Translated information to drivers for entire office in Spanish. Ordered office supplies. Conducted sales leads for potential customers making new customer contacts. Completed all billing to ensure all drivers were paid, and basic clerical duties.
