About Barbara Robson
As a biogeochemical/ecological modeller of aquatic systems, I focus on the use of models to integrate system understanding from process studies: in other words, I develop and apply models in order to integrate and quantify the links between hydrodynamics, nutrients, biogeochemistry and phycology to help predict ecological outcomes of change. In developing and conducting research projects, I work closely with disciplinary experts in these fields to ensure that our models reflect and help to consolidate process understanding.Specialties: biogeochemical modelling, estuaries and coastal waters, tropical river systems, modelling phytoplankton succession and harmful algal blooms, linking models with satellite observations.
