As a certified drug and alcohol counselor (CADC) with 17 years of experience, I have a passion for helping people overcome their substance use and mental health challenges. I worked with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where I provided counseling intervention in group and individual sessions for reentrants in a state correctional setting.I use evidence-based approaches such as motivational interviewing (MI) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to facilitate psychoeducational sessions that focus on recovery, stages of change, mental health issues, and substance use. My goal is to empower the individuals in my care to make positive changes in their lives, changes that support recovery and aid in reintegration into society.
