40 year career in broadcasting and Director of Sport at the BBC for 15 years, successfully maintaining the department’s leading position across broadcast platforms in the UK, including leading multimillion pound negotiations for premium sports’ rights. Was responsible for 20,000 hours of global sports coverage each year produced by a staff base of 450 and an annual budget of £450 million pounds. Overseeing the planning and successful delivery of multiple events and day-to-day journalism, ensuring implementation of effective budgetary and talent management, internal and stakeholder liaison, risk assessment, D&I policies, business continuity, sustainability and health and safety planning. Has overseen the delivery of highly complex projects including BBC Sport’s relocation to Salford, 14 men’s and women’s World Cups and European Football Championships, and 7 Olympic Games including London 2012 for which she was awarded an OBE.Represented Great Britain in gymnastics in the 1976, Montréal Olympic Games and British Champions "All winner" in gymnastics winning over 20 international caps.
