Research Assistant at the Orthopedic Nanotechnology Laboratory, Harvard Medical School. With an emphasis on orthopedic biomaterials, the research focused on the effects of manipulating the microstructure of high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) by adding low molecular weight polyethylene (LMWPE), used in the manufacture of sliding surfaces for knee and hip prostheses. I was directly responsible for test specimens preparation, stress tests and data processing and analysis. The promising results obtained were presented at the World Congress on Biomaterials.
