Research project: Embryonic expression patterns of genes that play a role in endomesoderm cell differentiation in brittle stars- Documented normal developments of Ophioplocus esmarki and Ophiothrix spiculata using a compound microscope.- Collected embryos via meshing or dissection and fixed them in formaldehyde or MgCl2. - Isolated internal cDNA fragments as per to Invitrogen protocols.- Isolated cDNA ends using rapid amplification of cDNA ends.

Research project: Characterization of key endomesoderm gene regulators in spiralian embryogenesis of Ilyanassa obsoleta- Documented gene expressions in Ilyanassa obsoleta using a research grade fluorescent microscopy.- Performed in situ hybridization for genes of interest.
