I oversee the allocation of Men’s clothing, accessories and shoes into the 49 factory stores. Before our downsizing and transition to California I was in the process of training two Assistant Planners and an Administrative Assistant. During my time at JoS A. Bank I have helped change how Factory stores are analyzed and allocated. It is part of my responsibility to make sure factory stores are paid close attention to. With the help of the Factory store team we have changed the way store needs are taken care of. We worked diligently to correct inventory in the stores by department down to the style, size and fit level. *As a result of this our stores ended 2014 with an 18% increase in dollar sales and a 14% increase in unit sales. *7 of our 8 categories had double digit increases in dollar and unit sales. The biggest increases were in bottoms and sportswear each had a 30% increase over 2013. I also help with Factory store marketing and social media. I am one of the administrators for the Factory Store Facebook page. This came about due to a presentation I put together on how Facebook could be a great help to the Outlet Stores. When the downsizing occurred I was offered and accepted the relocation to California. I am currently helping bridge the gap between a brand new merchant/planning team and our Factory Stores.

Adhoc forecasting for Ad build allocations. While there I developed several tools for the allocation team. *Allocation template in Excel that shows sales, current and projected weeks of supply, current on hand, percent sell thru, sales and inventory rank, percent to total business sales and inventory, turn, average weekly sales, last year sales, and need. The template is currently used by the allocation department to allocate the initial buy, forecast Store and DC future needs, and replenishment quantity settings for maintaining the business.* Seasonal merchandise allocation template used to determine slow and fast selling product in season. I was also instrumental in introducing tiered allocation by department, subclass, season, and item instead a General Volume group ranking by Total Company. I also explained to the buyers of Dept 1, 19, and 35 that tiered minimum and maximum settings would increase sales. *As a result for 3rd Quarter 2011 Total Dept 35 was up 45% to last year, Seasonal Department 35 up 43% to last year, total home Décor Departments 19 up 2% to last year, and Department 1 up 19% to last year.

Merchandise Allocator – Ladies shoes Burlington Coat Factory for 410 stores.Merchandise Allocator – MJM Burlington Coat Factory Specialty shoes and Accessories 15 stores Accountable for allocating ladies’, men’s, children’s and athletic shoes, as well as accessories and handbags, to satisfy the specific needs of each store and for customers. During my time at Burlington I provided input on brands and styles for the upcoming seasons. I was able to tailor each store’s inventory to their specific needs based off of pricing, category, weather, and size selling history. I was an integral part of introducing weekly push list for the MJM stores by category of business. I worked as the only allocator for MJM Shoes a team of 8 buyers and 1 planner. I also gained the experience of learning to allocate merchandise from multiple Dc’s around the country in an effective and timely manner. I also had the privilege of being a part of the allocation council. This council implemented the training of new allocators on a system that was tailor made for us. We created the training manuals and gave feedback on the new system as it was created.

Helped customers understand their accounts through face to face and telephone inquiries. I provided account information, money transfers, and new product information.

I was responsible for cashiering duties which included counting cash drawers, waiting on customers, locating merchandise and stocking the store when needed. I trained new hires in the cashiering and stocking, and sales process.
