Responsible for managing all operational activities and associated costs of MIL's transportation and distribution network, inventory control, and warehousing processes while maintaining a focus on cost reduction. This includes oversight of local, regional and global transportation and distribution operations while, developing and maintaining systems of stock keeping units for stratification of inventory, based upon stakeholder input and business requirements. Responsible for leading strategy driven logistics and inventory initiatives including process re-engineering, fulfilling GPDS requirements, and managing logistics related activities due to acquisitions and compliance driven change. Ensure alignment with customer regional and global operations and regulatory requirements. Direct accountability for ensuring accuracy and efficiency of order fulfillment, MIL's instrument and reagent raw, work-in-process and finished materials. Responsible for assuring implementation of corporate governance requirements including, but not limited to, SOX, ISO, GMP, etc Management of regular and temporary distribution and inventory control staff, through various levels of supervisor(s) and support personnel is required.I am accountable for meeting departmental budgets.. In addition, this position ensures employees are operating in accordance within the company's safety policy guidelines, while maintaining a safe working environment at all times. Ensure the optimization of departmental operational performance. Provide effective leadership and overall management of the Receiving, Inventory Control, Shipping and Mailroom functions located at all MIL. Manage and accountable for achieving objectives on the Logistics Operational Scorecard.Drive the execution of supply chain strategies for the plant Logistics groups to meet the goals and objectives of the business including staffing, inventory optimization, equipment and space requirements.

Develop high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement develop a high performing managerial team.Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission.Make high-quality investing decisions to advance the business and increase profits.Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics.Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements.Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders.Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth. Customer Service-Construction and Processing of orders received through M2NORTH.Releasing orders received through AC Connect.processing of all customer credits and debits on BPCS system, Ordering of goods from vendors, Handling quotes and ensure verifications on do follow ups. Consignment stock invoicing and replenishment, DRP and customer invoicing on a daily basis Supplying customers with quotationsHandling of customer queries and complains client and Expediting customer orders.Products:We sell mining machines and parts: drill rigs, Hydraulics, valves, gears, Pumps, Bearings,Motors,Boomers,Bolts,Bits,Brakers,Buffers,Cables,Capscrews and many more.Customers: Anglo gold Ashanti, Anglo platinum, Impala platinum, Barberton mines, Barloworld, Murray n Roberts, Samancor, Sandvik, Lanxes, Marula platinum, Spoornet, Secunda , Colliery, General pneumatics, Black Mountain, Two rivers, Lebowa Platinum.

Wet Chem. analysis using AA AUTOTITRATORS Plant sampling, Sample preparation, calibration of instruments, adhering to safety-security & house keeping standards. Metal Accounting Using Auto-titrators. Manual titrations using Re-agents & indicators. & QC’s. Reagents & QC’s Preparation Recording of results in log sheets & publishing to relevant departments via MIMS & c-classen. Customer service, problem solving & investigating. Handing over of shifts. where available. Training of Personnel on section modules. Work as per work procedure. Adhere to security code. Use of safety equipment correctly. Assist process controllers with problem investigation and Sample preparation.
