Barbara Torres is a Chief of Staff at University of South Florida Student Government. Colleagues describe her as "Professional, Dependable and Adaptable! I met Barbara in April 2022 when she joined our team at Valencia College's Atlas Lab. Barbara quickly excelled in her role and learned how to solve complicated student issues. I was impressed by her work-ethic, communication skills and collaboration. She consistently researched issues and provided creative solutions to improve processes and department operations. She was always willing to help where needed and take shifts to cover our Front Desk area. I saw Barbara's skills shine when she assisted students in our Front Desk. There, she provided exceptional customer service, learned information about numerous programs and departments to direct students and collaborated with Student Services Advisors to ensure student appointments where attended to. During her time in the Atlas Lab, she quickly became a leader among her peers and served as a point of contact for Venezuelan students going through the enrollment process.
