About Barbara Vidal Guiresse

Specialized in criminal law and immigration law, I am an attorney with 10 years of experience in the nonprofit, public and private sector. My goal is to provide legal assistance to everyone impacted by crime and the criminal justice system, to the people that have been harmed, and to the people that committed acts that harmed others. I started my career in my home country, Chile, where I practiced criminal litigation for three years in the private sector. I obtained my LL.M degree from Columbia Law School, focusing in human rights, gender justice and criminal justice reform. I worked for the New York City Law Department in their Juvenile Delinquency Unit as a prosecutor. Currently, I am a Senior Staff Attorney representing survivors of Human Trafficking, in criminal and immigration matters. I am licensed to practice law in New York State since January 2020, and in Chile since May 2015.
