About Barbara Warner

My professional life began in programming and systems administration and eventually progressed to director of MIS. During this time I also taught courses at community colleges and universities. Over time, my career evolved and roles flip-flopped. I now teach full-time at the University of South Florida and do limited IT consulting.As senior instructor in the School of Information Systems & Management, my focus is two-fold. One is educating students about technology and business analytics and offering course content and other educational experiences outside the classroom that will prepare them for careers involving technology. Another significant role I am privileged to have is that of the graduate admissions director and advisor. This position allows me to work one-on-one with students as they study at USF and start their careers as well as network with employers in the Tampa Bay area.
