I am the Coordinator of Communication and Grant Writer for the Rose Tree Media School District, a district of six schools and roughly 4,200 students. I handle communication including web site writing and management, community engagement, social media, press releases, informational print materials, video, still photography, local and national media outreach, branding, crisis communication and grant writing. I specialize in lively, articulate and succinct communication, a professional representation of the district, and a calming presence in crisis situations. I am proficient in digital and social media, specifically Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, the Anchor podcast platform, BlackBoard/Smore and ThoughtExchange. Prior to my position at Rose Tree Media, I worked for 11 years as the Public Information Officer of the Cherry Hill Public Schools. An experienced presenter, I have had the pleasure of presenting over the years on variety of subjects at three New Jersey School Board Association Workshops, the New Jersey Parent Teacher Association Leadership Convention, and two New Jersey School Public Relations Association Workshops.I have previously worked as a freelance writer and editor. I have been published in Ladies Home Journal, Woman's Day, Parenting magazine, Parents.com, sheknows.com, examiner.com, Grolier Yearbook (Health Edition), Unique Opportunities magazine and The Source magazine, Seattle. Additional clients included Ivanhoe Broadcast News, Microsoft, KOMO-TV Seattle, Health Marketing Solutions and Whittle Communications. I also worked as publications coordinator for the Washington State Medical Association, which included public relations, community outreach and marketing strategizing.
