Having fulfilled a wide range of roles including leading school improvement, recruitment, performance, and project management, I consider myself an experienced and determined School Leader. As a child of a single-parent immigrant family growing up in inner-city Hackney, I became aware of the importance of learning, and with some bumps along the way, I pursued a degree at SOAS,- and later became a qualified teacher through the Graduate Training Programme. My ECT Assessor described my teaching and the pupils’ learning as some of the finest that he had ever seen. I have taught all year groups at every Primary Stage from Nursery to Year 6, as well as at the Secondary level up to and including Year 10. As a class teacher, I was consistently rated as outstanding. As a School Leader, OfSTED Inspectors commended me as a determined visionary with very high expectations, able to accurately judge the quality of teaching and learning and provide guidance and support to teachers (Essendon 2013 & St Mary’s Stansted 2018). I have worked in a diverse range of schools, which has enabled me to successfully lead school teams and raise educational outcomes for pupils while maintaining nurturing and ambitious environments.
