Some of our home care services include personal hygiene assistance, medication reminders, meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation, companionship, dementia/Alzheimer care, exercise/physical therapy reminders and activity encouragement and participation. Helping clients to remain active and maintain their physical strength, rather than being inactive and experiencing muscle atrophy is a primary goal of caregivers, because that is a factor that can directly contribute to a better quality of life, as compared to many older adults who become less and less active, leading to weakness and increasing fall risk, while also finding it more and more difficult to get up from a seated position, and remain ambulatory.Caregivers must pass a seven step screening process, background check, and demonstrate compassion that goes beyond training skills and experience, before they will be placed on our staff. Our quality standards require a minimum of two years of previous experience in a state licensed care facility or home care agency, and most of our caregivers possess over ten years of experience, some as much as thirty. It is our highly qualified and experienced staff that has helped Preferred Care at Home of Nashville South and East to develop a reputation of having some of the best caregivers in the area. Our economical "live-in" care teams can help clients to remain at home with one-on-one care for as low as 9.75 an hour, often less than the base fee for nursing or assisted living care. We will help identify the least costly care package and in some cases find that services are without charge to the client. We provide peace of mind that your loved one is being safeguarded and receiving supervision from a few hours to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Care is customized specifically for each client and can be adjusted at anytime, if desired.
