Barbara is a professional dance artist and teacher based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She started her Oriental (belly)dance training in 2002 and with her passion and natural talent for this dance, as well as her technique and feeling for Arabic rhythms and music, she soon became a sought after performer. Connoisseurs have named Barbara to be one of the best bellydancers of her generation in The Netherlands. Her dancing is sassy yet stylish, a mixture of classical Egyptian raqs and modern Cairo style.As a true professional she continues her education by taking classes with different teachers and travelling regularly to attend workshops with (inter)national dancers and choreographers that inspire her. By the end of 2012 she also started taking classes Cuban salsa and not much later set her first steps of (Dominican) bachata, which soon became her next passions in dance.Barbara has received her 'teacher's certificate' in Cairo in 2008. She is well known for her clear and pleasant way of teaching, which even got her invited to teach bellydance at a fitness convention in Moscow. In 2013 Barbara became an assistant to the salsa and bachata classes of a Latin dance school in Amsterdam.
