GFBio e.V. is a non-profit association founded in 2016 as the legal entity for the sustainable operation of data services in Biodiversity research. It is active in the recently founded National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) in Germany. Starting October 2020 we are building a coordination team for the NFDI4BioDiversity consortium, and a pool of IT developers to mobilize data available at the partner organisations and feed them into a common data infrastructure.

Als Co-Sprecherin leite ich die gemeinsame Projektgeschäftsstelle von Uni Bremen und GFBio e.V. zusammen mit Frank Oliver Glöckner und einem tollen Team. Von Bremen aus koordinieren wir das bundesweite Partnernetzwerk von NFDI4Biodiversity und unterstützen den Aufbau der Nationalen Forschungsdateninfrastruktur.

As an advisory board of the Federal Government and the Federal States, the Council will facilitate and accelerate digital transformation in the sciences on a national level, with a focus on research data and retro-digitisation strategies.

At Leuphana University I currently lead a team of three research managers plus administrative and technical staff. Mission of the team is to facilitate research by providing consultancy and services for the acquisiton of funding, skill development of researchers and research reporting. My personal focus is on research indicators, ranking management and evaluation.I am project manager for the implementation of a current research information system (CRIS) and lead the Leuphana programme for the enhancement of research culture.

I joined the Bernhard Nocht Institute in 2000 as scientific assistant to the Director. As research administrator, I maintained contacts between the institute, ministries, funders and media and was appointed to strategic projects on QM, technology transfer, research infrastructure development (EC). As PR manager, I organized communications and acted as spokesperson during epidemic incidents such as the SARS crisis in 2002/2003, bird flu or suspect cases of highy contagious diseases. As a science communicator, I organized a visitor programme (1.000 participants per annum) and a young scientist programme (200 particpants per annum). For a fundraising campaign, I launched a special T-Shirt collection designed by members and friends of the Tropical Institute.
