For 40 years, I've contributed, largely on education and nature, to The New York Times, Washington Post, Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer, Christian Science Monitor, Hartford Courant, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Boston Globe, Cape Cod Life, Hudson Valley (NY) magazine, Carnegie reporter, Instructor magazine and Teacher (magazine). Also, have written for children in Muse (magazine), Jack & Jill, AppleSeeds, and -I hope in time - for Ask (magazine). In addition, I've taught extensively in New York City. And I've just completed a children's picture book - narrative and illustrations - and will be circulating it among agents and publishers.

I worked with Brooklyn's family of multi-ethnic peoples, young and old, of all socio-economic groups, as a guide and educator at a restored Old Dutch farm house.

I taught young people gardening in one of the nation's oldest and foremost Children's Garden education programs.

I was an on-air news personality, and had a commentary feature program, "Spectrum South Shore" - interviews with regional figures and, once a week, a personal commentary. Most dramatic assignment: The Blizzard of '78, including remotes from storm-stricken sites.
