An extremely ambitious and motivated engineer with a passion to understand how software and hardware are integrated to produce excellent image quality & to further the current state of consumer camera technologies. With a deep personal love of photography coupled with a Bachelor of Science degree in Imaging Technology from RIT, I am able to easily communicate imaging ideas from both a photographer's perspective and an engineering perspective. My knowledge and experiences are primarily focused around tuning & tweaking camera software algorithms to achieve excellent IQ, imaging system pipelines, psychophysical image quality analysis, competitive analysis of IQ, and objective image quality metrics & measurements. I have an abundance of hands on experience using mobile imaging devices, real time debugging of mobile imaging and I understand the processes of camera systems at a sensor, software and a user experience level.

Worked on a team with two other electrical engineering interns, the quality assurance department and the color science department. It was my job to be a liaison to communicate imaging ideas with the engineers to work together to develop algorithms. We developed and conducted psychophysical experiments to create these algorithms to measure perceptual noise in high speed inkjet printers. Using MATLAB we created a user friendly package that could allow engineers to use their own psychophysical data to rank image quality based on noise. We were also responsible for giving weekly presentations to the team leaders and an end of the summer presentation to all team leaders and the executives.
While working at this photography studio I was the primary retoucher. I also acted as first shooter and assistant shooter on various wedding assignments.
