As Chair of the firm’s Energy, Renewable Resources & Sustainable Development Practice Group, I concentrate in the areas of energy and environmental law. I represent private and public entities and lenders involved in the renewable energy and fossil fuel industries in connection with due diligence, financing, acquisition, project management, development and permitting of energy facilities including solar grid-supply, net-metered and community solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. I counsel domestic and overseas businesses on New Jersey state and federal environmental permitting and regulatory compliance, including matters related to environmental remediation, ISRA, NJPDES, CAFRA, waterfront development , Clean Air Act and wetlands permitting. I negotiate regulatory issues and resolve related enforcement actions with public agencies including the NJBPU and NJDEP. My work encompasses the permitting and transfer of A901 licensed solid waste facilities and transporters, public wastewater and solid waste facilities, CHP facilities, linear and pipeline development projects, and scrap metal and other recycling facilities. I have secured environmental permits and approvals for a comprehensive range of infrastructure and energy projects and facilities, manufacturing and industrial operations, overseeing all aspects including the coordination of stakeholders, state agencies and federal entities including the EPA, DOT and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
