Barbara is Information Technology Specialist with the ability to use both strong customer services skills and technical knowledge to support and address the needs of clients. She administered Jamf's server that managed the Macintosh systems throughout The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute. She built vendor relationship with Apple Enterprise, supervising the project to build Open Directory service and an inventory server using Jamf Software. In addition, she established a Macintosh User Group for specific users to gain trust that Information Systems will support their Macintosh equipment. Due to her positive track record with clients, she marketed and educated independent labs’ enterprise storage solution EMC Storage Area Network, increasing SAN usage from 10 to 8o percent. Barbara served as Project Lead on several high profile projects such as the deployment of Microsoft Office 2008/Entourage for the Macintosh users in The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute to prepare users for the migration of Microsoft Exchange from Novell GroupWise; Disk Encryption Deployment using PGP software on the Macintosh laptops; and the inventory of Windows and Macintosh computers. The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute Macintosh inventory went from zero to 675 and zero to 1400 Windows-based machines.
