Regenerative Medicine Minnesota (RMM) has a vision for creating a hub of regenerative medicine knowledge, technology, and practice. We fund a portfolio of research that focuses on areas that matter to Minnesotans: heart disease, diabetes, brain and spinal injuries, the immune system, liver disease, cancer, eye disease, and osteoarthritis. We are also working on building the infrastructure by helping businesses develop the capacity to manufacture the products at a quality and quantity that they can be provided to patients. In time, we will help bring these new therapies to clinics across the state.

Recruited to the Office for Technology Commercialization in 2007 to implement the reorganization plan I created for the University of Minnesota while acting as a consultant.Led the Office for Technology Commercialization (OTC) of the University of Minnesota in a major restructuring of people, processes, and practices. Responsibilities also included overall management of the OTC, encompassing the Licensing Center and the Venture Center. Review in 2011 by nations top institutions commended turnaround results. • Developed and managed translational research for key inventions within the life sciences sector at the University of Minnesota, resulting in five launched start-up companies.• Created the commercial strategy for a new university-based start-up company in the Regenerative Medicine Industry, including the IP strategy, financial plan, product development and pipeline, and strategic partnering activities.
