Managed two grant writers and formalized system to work with the finance office.•Generated $6 million in New York State and City grant proposals, resulting in $4 million in funding, including $1 million for capital improvements. Raised New York City Council discretionary funds from 16 council members and delegations; increased funding by 20% to $650,000.

Created the structures, systems and plans to launch the first comprehensive development effort, at this 70 year-old nursing college located in Harlem.•Developed comprehensive Individual, Foundation and Government fundraising strategies. Maintained relationships with existing donors, and identified and solicited prospects.•Built Alumni Association by reaching out to the College’s 5,750 alumni via mail and social media; created first alumni fundraising campaign and first alumni reunion and fundraising event.•Identified and recruited new board members, for the first time targeting prospects with the capacity to make substantive gifts.

•Serve as an advisor; worked with the development staff to create a strategic fundraising plan.•Initiated matching gift program that increased year-end donations from $20,000 in 2012 to over $100,000 in 2013, as well as a donor cultivation strategy. •Participated with other board members and donors in producing a gala event that increased gross revenue from $22,000 in 2013 to $145,000 in 2014.•Worked with staff leadership to recruit new board members, increasing the board’s size from nine to 15 members.

Achieved 100% board giving.•Increased major gifts by over 100% to $550,000, increased foundation income by raising $635,000 from new and lapsed donors, launched a planned giving society, which resulted in two six figure bequests in 2011 and oversaw annual gala, a tasting event with 500 guests.•Oversaw communications, including production of newsletters, annual reports and the creation of social media •Directed the work of the program team that resulted in the organization’s having measurable goals, objectives and outcomes for the first time in its history.
