I am a lifelong educator who transitioned to working in higher education from over 30 years in special education. I now have the amazing opportunity to work with and support the learning of future doctors. My 30+ years in education provided me with skills that allowed me to make an exciting leap from teaching in public schools to working with individuals at the graduate level and beyond. The best part? I'm still working in education!I used the pandemic to fulfill a life-long goal of obtaining my Master's of Education in Special Education. I am thrilled to share that I am the first person in my family to obtain a master's degree. It was rough trying to learn to work remotely and go to school full time, but I did it -- with HONORS!!I balance my work life with a positive home life. I happily enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a parent to three beautiful four-legged children, who are spoiled beyond compare!My time in my current career is still very new, but I am excited to always learn more and share my knowledge with the amazing individuals I have the pleasure of interacting with each day!
