About Barb Bloom
After spending 13 years in Student Affairs, I went back to school and became a licensed marriage and family therapist. I love working with adolescents and Quarterlifers, sitting with them as they work through issues, or teaching them new ways to manage anxiety and depression. I also love walking with women as they face life's transitions.I spent four years working at the YWCA where I learned how to support clients going through DV, sexual assault, and childhood trauma. I spent five years working with the Santa Clara USD, primarily in their continuation high school where I counseled teens struggling with trauma, family issues, substance abuse problems, and self-harm. Today I am using that expertise in my own practice, specializing in issues that affect teens, young adults, and women.
