Role was integral to the security policy enforcement and information management of a unit consisting of 200+ members. Due to the sensitive nature of the job, it required a Secret (Level II) clearance.Information Systems Security Management- Managed and enforced comprehensive information security policies, focusing on risk assessment, security architecture, and ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive data and systems.Network Security Administration- Managed secure operations of the Defence Wide Area Network (DWAN), applied principles of network and information security to maintain secure and reliable communications.Access Control and Identity Management- Responsible for implementing and overseeing effective access control systems, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), which are essential for maintaining secure identity and access management within DND/CAF establishments. Mail and Communications Security- Efficiently managed both physical and electronic communication channels, ensuring the secure handling and transmission of sensitive information. Administrative and Operational Support- Provided support in administrative tasks and acted as an advisor for transitory pay and claims systems, where directing unit members to appropriate contacts and managing sensitive processes was a key aspect of maintaining operational integrity and security compliance.

I was accountable for co-leading a Geomatics team that serviced the needs of military units across southern Ontario, as well as assisting government at both the municipal and federal level. I worked closely with high-ranking officers, military members, and other Geomatic cells across the country. Successes include;- Operating in high-stress/remote locations without access to external technological resources.- Producing web maps and physical mapping products that assisted government branches during the COVID-19 pandemic; specializing in web crawling and data analysis. - Using NumPy, Pandas and other data science libraries to produce serviceable content that could be used by organizations.- Managing and building SQL databases and file structures.- Ensuring that file storage standards and security were maintained.Technologies used have included: - ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online - Microsoft Excel - MySQL - Python

As a Combat Engineer, I was regularly tasked as a section commander, overseeing the work of 8-12 engineers at a time. Since then, I’ve worked across the country on various engineering exercises, as well as deployed domestically to help and assist fellow Canadians. Successes include:- Deployed domestically to assist in flood response on Operation Lentus. When deployed I operated as the engineering SME on-site, leading large workgroups on proper flood response and prevention. This included long hours, heavy labour, stressful and dangerous situations, as well as the demand for effective and communicative leadership. I had to create lesson plans on short notice, and then teach large groups of soldiers these lessons in unsavory conditions. On-site I helped evacuate people, assess flooded roads and routes, as well as flood prevention measures such as sandbag wall installations, water pumps routing, and tree felling.
