Working remotely, I leverage brand guidelines to take a bare-bones brief and turn it into a stellar animation or visual narrative. Often adapting quickly to client needs and feedback, I learned client service is paramount.In addition to Olgilvy clients, I've worked with some small business clients and established consistency towards brand growth in everything from packaging and swag to social media.

I taught English using innovative methods to French high school kids of varying ability, adapting to each group. Living in France, immersed in another culture really helped me get into the habit of looking deeper to find an explanation and think past my own biases to arrive at an informed, nuanced view. Making connections in unexpected places became a daily habit, and one that I still leverage in my work.

Literary research and critical analysis in French and teaching French to college students. Teaching is learning, and to learn, you have to be confident and humble at the same time. Seeing my students' success was the most satisfying aspect of this work.

At the Pilot (circ. 165,000) I worked constantly to improve the clarity and ease of navigation of the news I presented. I learned to think first of how to help our readers get what they want out of their newspaper. My colleagues really taught me to "go big," especially in early iterations "because you can always pull back." This really helped me push my boundaries and experiment more readily, while refining my quick connecting skills.

Producing features section covers, I took charge with a sense ownership of the final product. Anything could happen in the sections I designed, and it allowed me to experiment and iterate quickly, leveraging any style that fit the project.
