Civil litigation research related to medical malpractice, wrongful death and motor vehicle claims; drafted article on medical-ethical obligations and legal testimony.

Split appointment with Georgia Hospital Association and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Projects included research and / or memo writing on: Impact of HB60 Gun Bill on Hospitals, Appropriate POS Code Use (11 v. 22), IPPS Proposed Rule Impact on GA Critical Access Hospitals (with focus on “necessary providers”), current state of GA Medical Lien Statute, Vaccine Rights and Hospital Employment, modifying a physician agreement without implicating Stark, APRN chart updates.

Worked directly with two partners within the Health and Life Sciences division. Updated the Medical Association of GA (MAG) by-laws with current case law, statutes and regulations; performed cross comparison of consultant-created physician practice termination matrix to actual agreements; conducted a hospital clinical staff analysis and provided a legal recommendation for proposed cancer screening clinic; co-authored various articles and updated and created presentations on the topics of Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute; researched the Sunshine Act and Phase IV medical device clinical trials. Attended a witness interview, mediation and client meetings.

Managed over 400+ active adult volunteers, 80 volunTeens, 4 retail shops across 3 facilities and 5 paid staff; worked closely with volunteer board; created, implemented and managed new department of 25 paid staff in Centralized Support (24/7/365 department) that provided nonclinical support to all hospital staff. Operational budgets totaling $1.3 million.
