Contributing writer to Louisville Magazine. I have received 13 Louisville Metro Journalism Awards, including six first place awards, from the Society of Professional Journalists for Louisville Magazine feature articles on education, health and enterprise.

Contributing writer to monthly magazines with a focus on women and senior adults, including advertorials featuring local professionals, businesses and services.

Writing and messaging for a nonprofit that showcases people with Kentucky ties who are global leaders in their fields through a live speaker series, student programs and videos, boosting recognition of the state's positive impact across Kentucky and around the world.

Consulting on communications, including development and production of videos, print materials and online content; and research, development and writing of policy papers and grant proposals for a nonprofit educational consulting firm that provides professional development for K-16 teachers and administrators.My work for CTL included developing, writing and producing organizational image and marketing videos; informational videos for our partner, Partners for Education at Berea College; and the Parent College Toolkit and DVD for GEAR UP Kentucky, a project of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. I also designed, coordinated and led full-day workshops for parents on preparing students for postsecondary education at the statewide GEAR UP Alliance Institute for a College-Going Culture, part of the national GEAR UP initiative to promote college readiness for traditionally underserved students.

Advised administrative and artistic staff at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra on the development of live educational concert webcasts, the first of which was viewed by more than 3000 students in Detroit's Orchestra Hall, and by more than 40,000 students in classrooms throughout the Detroit area. Consulted on the development of related curriculum materials for teachers, wrote the script for the inaugural concert and webcast, and designed and analyzed formative evaluation with participating teachers and students to inform development of future concert webcasts in the series.

Contributed to content development for KET's 2014 GED online materials. I write scripts, online content and outreach materials, develop programming, and design and carry out audience research on locally and nationally broadcast educational television and multi-media projects in the arts, science, and language arts, and for KET's nationally broadcast series, GED Connection, preparing adult students to take the GED high school equivalency test. I wrote KET's "A Field Trip to the Forest," which was a Regional Emmy Award Nominee.

Worked on staff and as a consultant doing audience research and program development for Sesame Street and related national and international projects; as a member of the team that created 3-2-1 Contact, the acclaimed PBS science series for eight- to 12-year-olds; and other original broadcast and multimedia programming.
