Two notable internships I have done were at Boataround and Pixel Federation. The former is an online marketplace for boat rental for which I was in charge of creating boat profiles, communicating with the owners, and updating availability. Regarding the latter, I worked for the user experience team. My task was to process feedback forms from players on the topics of quality, further development, and upcoming projects. Both of these internships improved my prioritization and communication skills, while also helping me better grasp how to quickly adapt to changes in a project. My university major is strongly focused on academic research from which I learned to pay a lot of attention to detail and the importance of acquiring high-quality data, all while being able to quickly adapt and effectively time-manage. One achievement I am especially proud of is getting a diploma from a summer pre-college program at Brown University. In 2017, I attended a Brown-University-organized summer program where I studied International Ethics for a World in Transition. The final assignment for this program was to write an academic paper, which was something I have never done before at that point. One would pass the course if meeting any predetermined conditions for the course and the final assignment, but that would not automatically mean they would receive a diploma. A diploma was to be given to those whose academic papers were of exceptional quality. Due to my lack of familiarity with the format, I was not sure I would be able to qualify for the mentioned diploma. This is where I learned the importance of adapting to current circumstances and using all possible resources to create a high-quality end-product. Despite my shortcomings, I was able to write a paper I was proud of and even received the diploma for exceptional work, something I was initially not sure I could achieve. It is an achievement that continuously pushes me to work harder, prepare better, and work smarter and more effectively, as to make the result the best it could be.
