I have more than ten years of experience as a philanthropy professional. As a native Pittsburgher, I'm a longtime listener of WYEP (an indie and local music station) and WESA (Pittsburgh's NPR affiliate with a local news division), so I'm thrilled to work now at Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation (the umbrella organization of the two radio stations).Prior to PCBC, I served as Manager of Individual Giving at Pittsburgh Opera, where I garnered support for the organization while getting to know fellow opera lovers. My early career includes being a top fundraiser for WYEP, The Sierra Club, The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, Habitat for Humanity, and other well-respected nonprofits while at Direct Advantage Marketing.In addition to fundraising, I have spent many years as a professional video producer, creating promotional videos for nonprofits and government organizations. I've also conducted community engagement studies (for example, on affordable housing issues for the City of Pittsburgh through Knox412 and Urban Design Ventures). I proudly led the Jewish Israeli Film Festival (now called JFilm) the first year it was profitable. I've also held marketing and outreach positions, always striving to connect with and build community.The throughline of my career is my enthusiasm to learn about people, their perspectives, and interests, and build mutually rewarding relationships.
