Flossie.com has been called the "Uber of Beauty" it is a Smartphone-based booking service for the hair & beauty industry. Flossie consists of a small team of Marketing, Customer Service and Development specialists. On the development side we have a backend web-developer, A UI designer and my position, Mobile Application Developer.I am responsible for the development of the Flossie app on iOS and Android. Both apps are written using native tools (Objective-C and Java/Kotlin respectively).I have also written a salon-facing app for iPad in Objective-C.I am fluent in Javascript (ES6) and most recently I have co-developed a React/Redux web app for Flossie's salon partners, over the course of developing the initial version and co-developing the current version I have gained a good working knowledge of React/Redux and various popular third-party libraries including react-router, sagas etc. Also on the subject of React I have written some experimental code in React Native including the Expo environment.As well as Objective-C, Java, Kotlin and Javascript I have done some work on side-projects with the Swift and GO languages. My own company. Prior to the establishment of Zita Farm Ltd, I developed mobile applications for Palm OS, ca 1999 including the popular HotSync manager, GoSync, ClipSync, a 2-way clipboard transfer utility and Playster, an mp3 organizer and tag editor.In 2008 I released CacheSense, a Geocaching application for BlackBerry OS and in 2010 I released a version for Android, CacheSense was the first third-party application licensed to use Groundspeak's "Geocaching Live" API.I developed a couple of Apps for the Pebble smartwatch platform, Skink GPS (2013) was an interesting and largely successful experiment to see how much functionality for a GPS app (inspired by the Garmin Gecko handheld GPS) that I could cram into 24KB RAM using the C language.I have also written experimental code for IOT devices using the Arduino framework and C/C++.

Initially employed to develop the v2 Android app, in late 2013 I also took over development of the iOS application. In 2014 I also developed a Pebble Smartwatch app for Munzee.The Munzee applications utilized a wide variety of mobile technologies including GPS navigation, Mapping, QR Code scanning, Facebook (Open Graph) and Twitter integration, working with a variety of REST APIs, push messaging (GCM, APNS, Parse) and several analytics and advertising products.

Developed versions of the ManagePro performance management Windows application, data synchronization server and related enterprise web application.Technologies employed included C/C++, .NET, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Javascript, AJAX, InstallShield and Windows Installer.

Sole developer of an application development environment featuring a powerful application definition language and compiler, object-oriented database and multi-user client/server architecture with GUI thick and thin clients. Development started on extended-DOS, moved to OS/2 2.0 and finally to Windows NT, languages Pascal (early), C/C++ and Java. The software was used to create a large-scale manufacturing system and a number of Point of Sale retail systems.
