Jennifer is a native Californian. Jennifer originally intended on attending medical school after receiving a bachelor’s degree in Biology from UC Santa Cruz. Following graduation in 1991, Jen moved to Sonoma County, where she acquired her first winery position at a custom wine processing facility: Vinwood Cellars-Gauer Estates. Vinwood was eventually sold to Kendall Jackson. In 1993 the original principals of Vinwood created a new company and offered Jen a position as Lab Director. Prior to harvest 1995, Jen started her career as the winemaker for Barefoot Cellars. That year Barefoot sold 140,000 cases. Jen continued as the sole Winemaker for Barefoot for 10 years until the brand was acquired by the Gallo Family in 2005; at which time the brand was selling 592,000 cases annually. Today, Jen continues her work at Barefoot as sales soar with the support of the Gallo family.Specialties: Wine blending & wine general management: sales, marketing, public relations.
