The largest Truck Stop / Logistic Hub in the southern hemisphere and Africa located on the N3 Corridor. Providing drivers with safe accommodation, facilities and fuel.

Full accounting function, management of staff, projects and strategic management decisions both day to day and long term.

• High level negotiations with budget holders to evaluate measure and plan their financial performance on a monthly basis and investigate any variance to actual and budget figures. Budgets held included Three different GP Service type budgets with 24 practices / budget holders, Prescribing, Dental and Pharmacy with a total £ value of £76 million.• Annual budgetary negotiations with GP Principals and Practice Managers on funding.• Evaluating applications for special grants and allocating this funding to successful applicants.• Implementing a new system for take-on of Dental Practices in the new Health Service Structure. As no activity history was available careful monitoring and complex negotiations was needed to help set an industry standard. This involved liaison with finance managers from other London Boroughs for interpretation and successful implementation of the first national pilot.• Ensuring accurate and timely monthly reports to Directorate on all budgets.

Budget negotiation, implementation, supervision of stakeholders and monthly reporting to senior directorate and budget holders. Investigate variances arising in monthly budget statements and report the results back to the appropriate budget manager.Assist the implementation and review of robust systems for internal financial control and probity as well as all aspects of financial management, budget management, financial services and governanceMonitor and reconcile Primary Care income and expenditure. Identify and communicate significant risks within budgets to the PC Finance Manager.Represent the FD at monthly meetings with budget managers

• Monitoring of activity reports re SLA agreements with providers• Attending and advising budget holders in SLA meetings• Ensure all SLA invoicing falls within the national guidelines for PbR • Coding of invoices • Monthly review of GL and preparation of monthly accrual and prepayment journals with objective to produce accurate management accounts• To prepare costing and other ad hoc financial data in response to requests from within the PCT
