- From Software Engineer to Trainer -It’s been more than 10 years since I started to work in IT. At that time, I loved Software Development and was spending my time between my engineering school, my part-time Software Developer job and my personal development projects. Quickly, I wanted to share all the things I learned or experienced and I started to talk at some conferences, then became a trainer.- From Software Engineer to DevOps -Fervent of Agile principles, I was frustrated to see that the time-to-market of my developments and the ones from my teams were slowed down by manual processes, lack of communication with other non-development teams like Ops or QA and scare of breaking the production environment. That’s when my interests for test and deployment automation started. From there, and by acquiring more experience, I became a DevOps evangelist.- From Software Engineer to Entrepreneur -In 2015, I joined as an associate a new digital agency created by two colleagues. Together, we made the company grow to more than 10 people in 2 years and finally sold it to a French group wanting to expand to North America. In the meantime, in 2016, we started Barracks, a software company offering a solution to make firmware and software deployment easier for IoT devices. We expected to bring the best of DevOps to the device manufacturers, often more used to hardware than software delivery processes. Unfortunately, the project ended two years after it started. But even so, I don’t regret the experience we lived and all the things I learned.
