With over 9 years experience in the post production industry I have a strong portfolio working ranging from short form, corporate, promos and TVC’s to longform broadcast and documentary. I have worked hard to built strong relationships with variety of high end clients in both broadcast and digital markets.

At Unit Post I have been involved in numerous projects; working on idents, advertising commercials,  promos, shorts, corporate edits, comedy and factual broadcasts and even the occasional feature.  My passion is for offline cutting but I have extensive experience in online­ing for broadcast compli­ ance, in terms of edit and delivery.  Since starting work in Post I have worked hard to build up experience in a variety of areas, including  Graphics and VFX to help me meet the needs and expectations of my clients. I am able to work closely with directors while retaining my own creative edge. Recent clients  include, BBC, Discovery, Macleans, DHL, PriceWaterHouse, Ichi, Capcom and Bentley Motors. I  enjoy working as part of a team or on my own initiative, I am enthusiastic and responsible with  sound administrative and technical skills. In a short space of time I have managed to create a port­ folio including a vast array of subjects. Web, digital, corporate, broadcasts, commercial, I’ve done it  all.  I work well under pressure and am used to delivering to a high standard whilst meeting tight  deadlines. After cutting my teeth as an Editor at Unit Post, I am now looking for a new challenge.

As Head of MCR I formed part of the Senior management team and was in charge of 8 MCR operators. My respon­ sibilities included providing technical support for the sales team and producers in all aspects of the Post Production  pipeline. This included advising clients on cameras at the initial production stage of productions right through to  Grade, Audio, VFX and delivery.  My work also included designing workflows for all Longform and Shortform projects that came to Unit; including  pioneering the move from the BBC's traditional Avid setup to that of FCP for the Watchdog and Rogue traders  program that aired "as live" weekly. I also designed the workflow for the recent 4 part BBC series Wonders of the  Universe, starring Prof. Brian Cox. In addition I spent much time researching new technologies in the broadcast realm, including new cameras and  codecs, hardware/ software and plug ins. It was my duty to ensure the company was kept up to date with new  technologies and equipment and to make sure that my department was capable of utilising these effectively. In  addition to providing support for all our HD Online and Offline suites I am proficient in all aspects of the Final Cut Pro  Studio package and am FCP certified. This role involved heavy liaison with the production department, editors, VFX  artists and clients. As Head of MCR I was in charge of the hiring and training of new members of our department and  other members of staff when necessary.  My work also involved crisis management and trouble shooting when  necessary.

MCR Operator duties included: Edit assisting, rushes and data management, mastering for broadcast, compression  and encoding, VT operation and full QC processes. I am fully capable of ensuring all programs meet their specific  broadcast specifications before they are delivered. I also used FCP for conforming, media managing, sequence  prepping, Clocking, and editing the company showreel. I am able to provide broadcast services for all types of  delivery including; Commercials, TV Series, Shorts and Documentary Features. I am fully capable of working in both  tape and tapeless (digital) environments, in HD or SD and am proficient in working with many digital formats includ­ ing RED, Phantom, EX and P2.

Assisting the Design, Edit and Production teams on all projects.  Responsible for the general running of the design studio, including the organisation of photo shoots and photog­ raphers, studio time and bookings, facilities management and client liaison. Working closely with the Managing Director and Creative Director on publicity material, marketing and PR. Responsible for the placement of job advertisements and the vetting of candidates for Managerial approval Client list includes: Foster & Partners, CB Richard Ellis, Wordsearch Communications, Grosvenor Properties, Bostock & Pollitt, Delancey, KPF and Gensler.
