In this role, I managed the IT application division of a $3.8B credit union. I was responsible for all software systems and overall application vision, including the core banking platform, aligning all development with the strategy of the entire organization. • Oversaw successful transformation of online banking application utilized by 130,000 subscribers. I worked with other executives, board members, oversaw the vendor selection, contract negotiation, application development, training, project management, and all other aspects of this new system.• Architected and managed development of Enterprise Data Warehouse. Utilizing this 150GB Azure-based system across multiple data sources, dashboards that targeted strategic initiatives for the company were created and implemented. The data ware house was comprehensive, secured, and provides mechanisms by which access can be audited. • Responsible for developing software policies, security procedures, and adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements (including NIST and FFIEC). This included upgrading security configurations and procedures for better credit card generation (to align with PCI compliance). I oversaw the development of over 100 software automation tools designed to ensure compliance while requiring minimal staff effort.• Designed and implemented in-house account statement generation procedure to replace legacy third-party vendor. This project involved conceptualizing and architecting the system, presenting the idea to executive leadership, overseeing the software engineering effort, and deployment of the application. This system provided a 22% savings on statement costs as well as providing a superior product with more efficient delivery times.

Leading a global team of 75 people, I am responsible all Information Systems worldwide. Coordinating efforts between the regional teams with global development projects is key to maintaining the company's vision and my team's role in implementing it.• With 6 different, disparate billing systems (many from acquisitions), I designed and oversaw the global team that built a new, fully integrated system. Besides modernizing and streamlining the existing, legacy business, it was engineered to support new, emerging market products which ultimately became over 20% of the company's gross revenue. The system also brought new capabilities that enabled the company to land a $2M contract with a new client. • Designed and migrated to Azure-based cloud architecture for database, web portal, and application development. By creating a micro-services based system, performance, stability, fault-tolerance and scalability were all increased while decreasing CapEx with minimal increases in OpEx.• Created automation solution to reduce by 95% routine customer service tasks. Multiple tools enabled teams such as carrier operations to make real-time changes based on customer issues. Previously, these tasks would take up to 24 hours to make. Additionally, by providing tools for billing and payments automation, our support teams were able to quickly identify and credit invalid charges, saving the company 2-3 hours per dispute.

As Director of Engineering for the North American region, I focused on optimization of current processes. With my team, we created and maintained several automation systems that helped to reduce the demands on the finance and operations teams.• Reduced largest vendor bills in the US by 46% over 3 years by creating a machine learning algorithm to determine the lowest cost suppliers at a micro level. They system intelligently analyzed pricing trends for multiple phone carriers in all areas of the United States and made decisions on how to route to the cheapest destination. Over 6 months, the system was able to learn how to be most optimal configuration and provided significant cost savings.• Managed technical team acquisition of two companies and integrated resources into existing platforms. These acquisitions each came with a new, custom billing system that had to be integrated into our existing ecosystem. I managed the development of connectors to SalesForce, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and other software used by the existing invoicing software. The result was that both of these acquisition increased North American revenues by 15%, but with no accounting/finance staff increases.

• Co-founded $9M business that produced a SaaS product as a communications solution. The system was an audio and web conferencing system, capable of hosting over 1000 users on a single call.• Fully automated service provider that provided easy online customer service and a quality product. As the system was primarily targeted at the SMB market, the entire billing, invoicing, payment processing, and collections workflows had to be fully automated. It processed approximately 30,000 customers each month, automatically generating and delivering invoices and charging credit cards for the services. All of this was done with an in-house custom solution, which was held tokenized credit cards to achieve PCI compliance.
