Since leaving Prodocom, I worked as a freelance developer on a range of projects, both large and small.An example of the projects completed includes:After leaving Prodocom, I continued to provide technical support to cover skill deficiencies within the business, including the ongoing development of their mobile app and back-end server software.Designed, developed and maintained an intranet web based system to replace a legacy accounting and reconciliation system used by a hotel management organisation to manage stock, takings and employees. Due to internet reliability issues at some of their sites, each hotel runs a secure local version, which would periodically sync to the head office master version via VPN. This system would sync all accounting data into MYOB Classic but was moved to Xero when support for MYOB Classic became obsolete.Provided the technical support for a share-economy style web service powered by Joomla!, using a mix of available plugins and developing new ones where required.Creation of a web-based cow breeding calculator to match characteristics of available breeding stock based on formulas supplied by the client (excel spreadsheets). Initially designed to generate PDFs of the best matches, it was updated to be mobile friendly so the farm staff could use it whilst in the field.

Prodocom is an Australian IT company, specialising in the provision of computer based SMS, emailing recorded voice and fax messaging services. The website has become the primary interface for Prodocom’s clients to use the company's products, allowing them to access all functionality of the Prodocom systems through the one centralised web portal.Achievements: As the leader of the development team, we completed a rebuild of the entire web service, creating a custom PHP based framework with an OOP/HTML/CSS templating system to allow rapid development of new features. With the move to an OOP back end, we were also able to move web service to a client/server architecture using AJAX, which simultaneously improved the user experience and reduced server load. The creation of HTTP APIs to allow clients and resellers to integrate their services with Prodocom products. Designed and created Android and iPhone app messaging frameworks and SDK. This app was designed to be either sold as a white label app (that Prodocom would create and manage) or as an API to be integrated into existing apps and leveraging Prodocom's existing messaging infrastructure. I also managed the onboarding and work assignment for Junior Developers, overseeing their projects and providing support to improve their skills.

Stream Group was a main contractor to Telstra and Optus, providing installation of telephony and cable television/internet services into residential premises throughout Sydney and Melbourne.Achievements:Designed and developed a bespoke PHP / MySQL workforce and inventory management system, allowing the electronic distribution and reconciliation of job and stock data between staff and 250+ on-the-road contractor technicians to replace their existing manual systems (mostly via Fax)Database Administration (MySQL and MSSQL) and support of other internal business management system.Working with an IT consultancy company to deploy and manage a Citrix based Remote Desktop environment for hosting of business applications and MS Office suite, allowing staff access a central system from four nationwide offices.Other IT projects as the business required
