Leading project management for new product development

Building and implamenting Planera's quality and manufacturing processes. A small team means I get my hands dirty in a range of activiteies outside of my immidiate role scope.

After successfully comissioning the Elvie Stride manufacturing lines in South America my scope expanded to manage the production and quality of all manufacturing sites for Elvie. I designed and led early stage sourcing and procurement processes for future products while keeping the existing product ranges' manufacturing on track.

I worked remotely and on site with a contract manufacturer in South America to deliver a new manufacturing line to produce the Elvie Stride product range. My core responsibilites were optimising the efficiency and capacity of the line while ensuring we had control of product quality. I joined the project at the design for manufacture (DFM) phase to optimise the tooling with our tool makers and saw the project through to launch.

• Implementation and monitoring of the SCAR process. This data was then used to work with suppliers and the supply chain team to increase and monitor supplier performance. • Analysis and problem solving of non-conforming parts (8D, 5Y, Ishikawa, Pareto)• Creation of the cosmetic quality standards as part of NPI along with development of current standards.• Use of various measurement and monitoring techniques for sample approval and verification of FAIR’s.• Experience in ISO9001, CCC and NEMCO audits. • Appointed as a team leader of the Naim Ecological Committee

Live and studio sound engineering across the UK for indoor and outdoor events.

As an R&D Intern I acted across a number of different disciplines including software test, schematic and pcb revision, prototype construction, ESD Testing and part database management.
