I am a Systems Administrator training to be a Systems Architect at Savant Ltd. My primary role is to maintain the OpenVMS systems for the National Blood Service as well as in Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and State of Jersey. In this aspect, I create, update and fix backup procedures for large quantities of life-critical data. I deal with the physical servers required to run these systems, all the networking between the servers as well as coded procedures used on the operating system.Outside of administrating OpenVMS systems I also administrate the IT Department at Savant which includes physical Windows machines, virtual VMware ESXI machines, Active Directory, networking and the backup procedures.
