• Neurala develops intelligent and autonomous navigation and object recognition software for ground and aerial vehicles.
• Sensor fusion: Managed a research project with Air Force Research Laboratories to develop a camera and microphone array system that quickly learns to recognize unique individuals from their appearance and/or voice.*.

• Worked with Max Versace on applications of biological optic flow to autonomous planetary exploration and aircraft collision avoidance, all in collaboration with NASA Langley.
• Obstacle avoidance (NASA): Developed computer vision software to analyze video stream and inertial data from a camera mounted on an aircraft in order to detect potential collisions from other moving aircraft.
• Autonomous exploration (NASA): Developed parallel software to analyze video stream on a vehicle- mounted camera to produce velocity estimates. This process is part of a larger software package that accurately localizes.
• Autonomous driving (Japanese auto part manufacturer): Performed literature review to determine research opportunities for where biology-inspired software and hardware strategies may enhance current research on.

I taught a course on the foundations of computational and theoretical neuroscience research.
